2018 Acura TLX vs. 2017 Acura TLX
In a world where vehicles are constantly changing, brands have to keep up with the times by creating new models, or refreshing some popular ones. Acura – Honda's luxury division – offers drivers the 2018 Acura TLX, and it has been refreshed for the 2018 model year. Drivers interested in finding a mid-size luxury sedan may find what they're looking for in the model, which is now available at Bill Gatton Acura in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Under the hood of the base 2018 Acura TLX, drivers will find a 2.4-liter inline-four engine. This engine is capable of producing a healthy 206 horsepower and 182 pound-feet of torque, and is a carryover from the 2017 model. Both model years also offer the same 8-speed automated manual transmission on the base level, as well as a front-wheel drivetrain. While many of the performance specs are similar, there are a few changes on the 2018 version.
2018 TLX updates and changes
While there aren't a multitude of changes, there are a few. The following updates have been made to the Acura TLX:
Exterior | On the outside, drivers will find an obvious update to the front fascia. It is now larger, and offers a new design that isn't as sharply angled toward the ground. The Acura symbol is also larger, and LED headlights are standard.
Interior | The most notable change to the interior is an updated infotainment system, which is now available with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, one of the TLX models with the Technology Package features upgraded seating designs.
A-Spec | The A-Spec trim level is new to the 2018 model, and it may be exciting for drivers who enjoy the sportier looks and features.
