What will we see during the debut?

There will certainly be a lot for Acura to cover when it officially pulls the curtain back on the updated 2019 RDX. The manufacturer has released a few details about what we can expect to learn. First, Acura has stated that the 2019 model of the RDX crossover SUV will be equipped with the Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive™ system again. Under the hood will sit a turbocharged, 2.0-liter engine. The components that will help the 2019 Acura RDX have the best handling characteristics of any previously-built model year have been inspired by the automaker’s NSX supercar. Additionally, the 2019 RDX will also have a segment-first 10-speed automatic transmission.

Once the 2019 RDX is launched, Acura will also have a performance-themed A-Spec trim available as an option for buyers.

New available technology

Just about every automaker operating in the United States offers a crossover SUV with an infotainment system that is compatible with smartphone applications. The system that will be available on select trims grades of the 2019 Acura RDX has the industry-first True Touchpad Interface™. Placed below the center stack, the new method of interacting with the vehicle’s Android-based infotainment system will make control more intuitive. If a user touches the touchpad in the upper left corner, the button located in the same position on the infotainment system’s screen will be activated.

Additionally, the 2019 Acura RDX will make a heads-up display available. This new feature will deliver important information to the driver, such as current speed and navigation instructions while keeping distractions to a minimum because of where it’s placed. More details will be available following the vehicle’s debut on March 28.
