2019 Acura ILX vs 2018 Acura ILX
The entry-level Acura ILX sport sedan is a great choice for first-time Acura buyers looking to wet their toes with one of the most affordable starting MSRPs in the lineup. With style and amenities to spare, it won’t be hard to choose the Acura ILX over other bland options in the sedan segment. For 2019, the Acura ILX comes in with the same starting MSRP and fuel economy figures as the outgoing 2018 Acura ILX model even after updates to the exterior design and technology offerings.

2019 ILX: Updates and Available Features
A handful of new front and rear design enhancements brings the 2019 Acura ILX design in line with the rest of Acura’s lineup. The most notable change is on the front fascia with a new signature Diamond Pentagon Grille and Jewel Eye™ LED lights. LED rear lighting, a new decklid, and a new wheel design complete the look.
A standard 7-inch touchscreen with enhanced speed or an available dual-screen On Demand Multi-Use Display anchor the dashboard of the 2019 ILX and put the driver in full control. The Apple CarPlay system is also available for the first time on select 2019 ILX configurations.
For the 2019 model year, all Acura ILX models are now equipped with the AcuraWatch™ active safety bundle on all trim levels for added peace of mind. The AcuraWatch™ bundle includes a Collision Mitigation Braking System with Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning.
Considering the 2019 Acura ILX has a lower starting MSRP than the 2018 Acura ILX, we suggest car shoppers go with the 2019 model for access to the latest design and features. The 2019 Acura ILX lineup is available now at Bill Gatton Acura in Johnson City, TN.
